Singapore by night

The Singapore climate is typically tropical,  warm and humid  throughout the year, the temperature usually hovers around 30 degrees Celsius making it ideal for sunbathing, swimming, sailing, and other water sports. Rainfall is  slightly higher  during the months November to January. Showers are sudden and heavy,
but also brief and refreshing. Singaporeans love eating - and Singapore is an ethnic culinary adventure of unbelievable variety. Even though you will be tempted by the wonderful international food on offer - don’t leave without trying local favourites- head for the "hawker centres" which offer an authentic range of local food, and sample local favourites.

The island has a population of almost four  million - 17% Chinese, 14% Malay, 1% Eurations and people of other decent. The original inhabitants were Malay.
Orchard Road is one of the most famous shopping boulevards in Asia - but if you are prepared to venture further afield, you can combine shopping with a little off -the- beaten track sightseeing. You will discover some of the best bargains out in the heartlands of  Singapore, where most  Singaporians live, eat, and shop.
Visit the Orchid Garden - the garden has thousands of orchids in a lush natural setting of rocks and waterfalls. Swim in the warm tropical water at  Siloso Beach, Central Beach, or Tanjong Beach. At Central Beach you can see the pink dolphins, or take the bridge to a bit of land that is  " southernmost point of Asia "
